Well, I ended up borrowing a g-bread man cutter, so in addition to the gingerbread bats, I did make little men with chocolate and powdered sugar. They were going to be little gingerbread jailbirds, but the cooling rack that I was using as a stencil for stripes was too wide, so they only had two or three stripes per person -- clearly not enough for proper prison garb. I'll have to do another batch and find a better way to stripe, I suppose. At least gingerbread men that are decorationally challenged are still tasty!
Today, being the Saturday before Christmas, was sooo busy here at work. Lots of last minute gift buying. Although, I guess a week before isn't really too last minute. I've got a pretty good idea of what all my gifts will be, although they are not all finished or bought. Better get on that...
