Here's what I've got so far...
...six little balls of yarn, half a sleeve, and half the body. And lots to work on during the train ride to Philly.

The sweater I knitted in March turned out beautifully, but, sadly, didn't particulary suit me once it was put on. And so after many deep breaths, I frogged it all and now have several lovely peacock blue balls of yarn that are ready to become something new. And I'm working on ideas for a zip up cardi with a bit of cableing...just have to figure out pockets.

With all the cold weather lately (and finally!, my hot water bottle is coming in handy. So this weekend, while watching the appendices of the extended versions of Lord of the Rings, I knitted a cover for it - blue, lime, and gray stripes. Much cozier to cuddle with than the rubber of the bottle itself...
And since it's February, the time has come to start the seeds that I want to plant outside once the frost is over. I've already started some basil from cuttings, and they seem happy in the window, so next will probably be some cilantro and oregano...and maybe mint.

I started another new project yesterday. And, yes, it involves knitting. I really do need to finish up some of those already started ones before moving on, but when the idea impulses move, I simply must satisfy them. Anyhow, this one involved felting a tartan-sort of knitwork (this one's charcoal with turquoise, red, and green), and is really a trial piece for a possible upcoming project. Meanwhile, I'm running out of needles of the proper size since they all have things in the works on them. So I'll have to impose a rule that at least one project needs to be finished before I can cast on anything else. Hmmm...and those curtain things ought really to be finished. But I did finish and send my bracelet for the swap (kind of like this one...
...and got one in the mail yesterday: a pretty crocheted ribbon one with a toggle closure in warm browns that I'm wearing right now.

I feel like there ought to be a curtain update. In between preparing for Christmas festivities this week, I've finished a grand total of three pairs of curtains...that's six widows worth. Three more widows to go for my house! And I'm also falling into the too many projects at once dilemma. And it's hard to prioritize. So first to finish will be the bracelet for a swap that I need to mail out this week. Then perhaps one of the three knitting projects that are in progress. Then the other curtains. If only I didn't have to be at work!

After seeing this pattern the other day, I've been wonderng how I've survived so far without a tiny knitted teaset. Fiestaware, no less. Efforts are underway to rectify this problem...at least the teapot part, so far.

I've been working on curtains...all the live-long day... Amazing how hard it is to put a grommet through two layers of twill and two layers of fleece! But the first pair (the ones for my bedroom) are finishing up and that only leaves...hmmm...three rooms. And the 4 panels I told a friend I'd sew for him. But the first always takes the longest, right? The others should go pretty smoothly now that I'm in the flow. I think they'll have to wait until next week and I get moved in my house and find some free-time.
