summer is a state of mind...
My summer reading lists are very informal and tend to spill well into fall and winter, and often into three years later, its members glaring at me from bookshelves and stacks on the floor. And if they're lucky enough, they'll get lugged around in my bag for several months until my shoulder hurts too much (stupid Tolstoy) or until the library starts harassing me (just one more renewal
please!). The past year has been heavy on the light reading, magazines and such, and I've been trying reconnect with my books lately. I like that hour of reading before bed that I can snatch on occasion. So here's what's haunting me from the shelf and nightstand at the moment...
1.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix - J K Rowling (trying to get through a full re-read of the series before the final book is released...yes I am a nerd.)
2.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - J K Rowling (ditto. sigh.)
3.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - J K Rowling (July 21, here I come!)
4.
Life By Design: Art & Lives of Florence Broadhurst - Siobhan O'Brien (can't wait to get into this biography that Paul's sister gave me)
5.
Son of a Witch - Gregory Maguire (sequel to
Wicked. I
will get it back to you, Je.)
6.
Anna Karenina - Leo Tolstoy (why have I not read this book yet? my life is sadly lacking in Russian authors.)
